Chapter 24
The Priestly Divisions. 1 There were also divisions for the sons of Aaron. The sons of Aaron were Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.(A) 2 Nadab and Abihu died before their father, leaving no sons; therefore only Eleazar and Ithamar served as priests.(B) 3 David, with Zadok, a descendant of Eleazar, and Ahimelech, a descendant of Ithamar, apportioned them their offices in the priestly service.(C)
